Drawarium vs Drawquarium: two similar names, two different products

The names differ by two letters and the pitch is almost identical: draw a fish, watch it swim. They are not the same product, and one of them is not even a game.

The short answer

Drawarium (drawarium.com) is a web/TV aquarium product aimed at families: children draw or colour a fish, and it appears in an aquarium on a TV. At the time we checked, its own site described accounts, app installation and purchases as a preview that was not live.

Drawquarium is a Windows PC game developed by byKaleb and published by rokaplay, scheduled for Steam on November 13, 2026. It is a paid game with a free demo, and it includes fish care, breeding, Golden Scales and a desktop wallpaper mode.

What Drawarium is

Drawarium’s site presents a family activity: draw a fish on a phone, tablet or computer, or print a fish template and colour it, then send it to a TV aquarium. It lists the first three fish as free, optional fish packs at $0.99, $6.99 and $9.99, and no subscription. It also offers a small browser drawing demo and original printable templates.

At the time of checking, the site’s terms page said it was a preview: account creation, app installation and purchases were not enabled, and pricing was “illustrative product information”. That is a product in a different stage from a Steam game with a store page and a release date. Do not treat the preview pricing as a live offer.

What Drawquarium is

Drawquarium is a full game with a simulation loop. You draw or import fish and plants, feed and raise them, breed them, clean the tank, collect Golden Scales and unlock tools. It also runs as an animated Windows wallpaper and includes a journal, checklist, timer and clock. The demo is free; the full game is paid, with the price still unannounced.

The visual language is similar — hand-drawn fish, deep blue water, lime-green accents — because both products are about the same fantasy. Similarity is not evidence of a shared owner. What matters is which product you can actually use today.

Is there a connection?

We found no official statement connecting the two products. Drawquarium’s Steam copyright notice names Kaleb Lechowski; Drawarium’s site does not name a company or developer. The similar names and concepts may simply be convergent ideas. We will update this page if either team publishes a relationship.

No official link found This is an absence of evidence, not proof that no relationship exists.

Which one do you want?

  • Choose Drawarium if you want a family TV activity, printable colouring templates, and a browser-based drawing toy rather than a game with progression and care systems. Check its preview status first.
  • Choose Drawquarium if you want a Windows game with feeding, breeding, Golden Scales, decoration and a desktop wallpaper mode. Try the free demo before buying.
  • Choose neither if you wanted a native phone game. Drawquarium is not on mobile; Drawarium is a browser/TV product rather than a native phone app.
